FUTURE SUBJUNCTIVE IN PORTUGUESE

The future of the subjunctive in Portuguese is a structure of great importance, as it is used in the daily lives of all those who speak the Portuguese language. The future subjunctive is used to talk about hypothetical events in the future. There are several words (connectors) that link this structure with the future subjunctive. As we have always done throughout these activities, we will tell you the connectors that we consider most important because they are the ones we use most often.

PRO TIP: The two most important connectors, in our opinion, are the words “SE=if” and the word “QUANDO=when”.

Example 1: “SE tu FORES à praia, liga-me=If you go to the beach, call me.

Example 2: QUANDO FORES à praia, liga-me!

Following is an activity on QUIZLET with a list of connectors and sentences using various subjunctive connectors.
