From a grammatical point of view, this is the same A2 course that we have been teaching at our school for more than 10 years.

Inside this course, you will find 7 hours of lessons divided into 53 Portuguese classes.
To complement this course, you can also use our website, our LEARNING STUDIO, for 90 days completely free of charge. Inside our LEARNING STUDIO, you will find podcasts, texts, short activities with dialogues, and additional videos to improve your listening skills. All these materials were carefully created for A2-level students.
WHERE WILL I FIND ALL THE MATERIALS?
By purchasing this course, you will have full access to the recorded grammar lessons for level A2 for 365 days.
All the other materials such as podcasts, Quizlet, texts, the “interrogation room,” and additional videos are extras that I offer you for 90 days. WILL I BE FLUENT AT THE END OF THIS COURSE?
Fluent, no! But I can guarantee you that the vast majority of students who complete both our A1 and A2 levels will be able to communicate comfortably with a native speaker in a one-on-one conversation.
WHO TEACHES THIS COURSE?
The course was structured by me. My name is Frederico Catarino, and I have been teaching Portuguese to foreigners since 2014.
WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THIS A2 ONLINE COURSE AND AN A2 IN-PERSON COURSE?
At Lisbon Language Café, we believe conversation is essential to consolidate the grammar structures we teach our students. That’s why, in our in-person courses, we spend about 80% of class time doing speaking and conversation activities.
In our online courses, since we don’t have the option of speaking directly with students, we developed a large number of interactive activities that students can use inside our LEARNING STUDIO. The grammar lessons combined with all these additional activities will allow students to consolidate the structures they will learn in this course.
COURSE STRATEGY
Talking is essential!
In my in-person courses, starting from level A2, conversation is always the main and essential part of each course and takes up more than 80% of the time.
In the online A2 course, since we don’t have the possibility of speaking directly, I created a large number of activities that allow students to practice and improve their listening and speaking skills. These activities can be found inside the Learning Studio.
Thus, the strategy for this course is the combination of the grammar content (recorded lessons) with the more interactive materials (Learning Studio).
