I took the level A1 Portuguese Intensive course with Frederico and had a very positive and productive introduction to learning Portuguese. Frederico has carefully curated a curriculum that forms a solid foundation (practical and grammatical) for beginning the journey of learning a new language. I will continue to attend the Lisbon Language Café for the A2 course!

I highly recommend Lisbon Language Café, Frederico is a great teacher. The class was well paced, interactive and fun. Portuguese is a particularly difficult language to learn but Frederico is patient and funny and very helpful with pronunciation, grammar and getting through level A1. I will continue to take classes here to hopefully one day master this language.

Frederico is a wonderful teacher. His A1 course is very organized and taught us the basics of the language. He has a great understanding of both Portuguese and English and was able answer any questions we had about some of the language differences. The Language Studio materials were incredibly helpful, especially the listening exercises. I am currently signed up and looking forward to the A2 class and will be making use of the Language Studio in the mean time.

Would highly recommend Frederico's A1 course. Small class meant focused learning and content very thorough without being overwhelming. Great for anyone looking to get a good foundation in Portuguese!

Highly recommend this language class if you want to learn Portuguese and see immediate improvements & a sense of achievement! I took the A1 intensive course, it really helped me start speaking and improve my reading and listening skills. The classes were well structured, striking the perfect balance between grammar/theory and practical, 'everyday Portuguese' with lots of speaking practice. I especially enjoyed the focus on pronunciation, which made a big difference in my comprehension. Plus, it was fun! Definitely continuing with the A2 course.

Frederico’s A1 level class was an excellent introduction to learning Portuguese. The small class sizes allowed for both group development and lots of individual attention, and, along with grammar and vocabulary, Frederico provided us with useful insights on the country and culture. I highly recommend this service.

I just completed the A1 Portuguese course and there are no words to describe the happiness and gratitude I feel. I am in my 60s and the other students were much younger and had the benefit of speaking multiple languages. Despite that, Frederico was able to conduct the class to ensure all learners benefitted from the content regardless of their starting point.
His online content of Quizlets, podcasts, readings, and interrogation rooms helps solidify the recall and retention of the material taught in class. The course is a solid grammar foundation on which you can build your Portuguese language skills. Instead of just seeing and memorizing words, you will walk away with an understanding of the grammar that drives them.
I highly and enthusiastically recommend this course to anyone!
