WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THIS ACTIVITY?
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT TO BE ABLE TO ANSWER QUESTIONS IN PORTUGUESE?
When we don’t understand what we are being asked, it is impossible to communicate effectively. On the other hand, by understanding better, we can also use the grammar of the question to help us with our response.
WHAT KIND OF QUESTIONS WILL I FIND ON THIS PAGE?
The questions you will find in these videos are grammatically tailored to A1-level students. This means that the grammar, vocabulary, and syntax of the questions will enable students to actively use what they have learned in the A1-level course.
HOW SHOULD I ANSWER THE QUESTIONS?
The question will be asked twice. After the question is repeated, it will be written on the screen so that those who didn’t understand it can read it. Try to answer the question without reading the subtitle. If you don’t understand, read the subtitle to help you respond. After hearing the question twice, pause the video for a few seconds to answer each question. Your answer should be very simple and should identify the verb tense (present, past, or future) and use the same verb, the same preposition (if applicable), and the same tense as the question. Your response may be slightly different from the one we provide.
